Hmm, now I have to be honest here and say that I don't really know what pipe fitting entails.

If it means sitting in an office, filing my nails and looking pretty, it's probably not the career for me.

However if it means getting filthy dirty, being able to swear in five languages and having a laugh, then I am prepared to give it a shot!

To be honest, I am sick and tired of working in Education. It is badly paid, over rated and the pension I have is rubbish, my only real hope is that I die before I retire! So if you know of any jobs going near me, then please do let me know.

By the way, I can do presentable and polite if needed but following a surgical mishap in 2006, I still walk with a stick occasionally, but otherwise I can do almost anything...

Oh dear, it might be to late, You do know that there are many things that can turn a usually straight man don't you? Quite often it is that one last pint!!!

Just read this thread: sorry to hear you didnt get the job. If I were you, I dring back and ask for feedback, im sure the person will be available on another day. Can't you speak to someone else? I failed to secure a job and the original person was unavailable but I asked to be passed on to the second interviewee for feedback (the reason was rather stupid but meh).

Anyhoo, as others have said: everything happens for a reason. There may be something bigger and better around the corner. Just keep looking, keep applying and you'l get there eventually

I know job-hunting sucks though..!
