A quick tip, don't go into education. It sucks.
It does...
I now work SUPPORTING education... I go in and out of schools looking after deaf/visually Impaired kids and I LOVE it! best job I ever had (no Jane Mansfield in sight!)

Been there myself, a couple of years ago I left a very secure job in a design / cad department because working towards becoming the department manager always turned into a dangling carrot, 3 yrs of that I resigned to work as a sales rep for the first time.

My first day in the new job, first impressions and all that....on the drive home from Nottingham all I could say is "Oh S H I T" - but the job was easy money on salary and commission. Thankfully visits to Head Office were few and far between and working from home was a plus. 1st year target ?300K, actual ?420K (only 7 months), 2nd year (oh no, I stayed this long already) target ?500K, actual ?720K and for both years I was 'top' salesman....which actually annoyed me so much as the other 6 had been in the business for over 20yrs. Anyway, I was called to meeting at a London Hotel because I had told someone how demoralised I was through lack of office support etc. and was on the phone to the MD who was asking for my continued support over the next year......in that split second and in front of the sales director I said no and resigned there and then. The plus points were that I managed to pay off all my debts bar the mortgage with my commission - back with design / cad and after 2 years I want out, but not quite at the Cya Later stage! Blimey sorry about the essay!

Err Apple, Jam, Custard. What ever you like. I'm still watching me weight so tend to leave the cakes on the table. Damn it's bloody hard to go make a coffee and see all them cakes screaming at me and not eat all the f'kers up.
