2008 lows and highs

Lows:
Losing my dog to cancer at the beginning of the year. After over 13 years together, going through so much and him even saving my life once - it's still a tough one to bear.
Having to sell my bikes.

Highs:
Having some of my friends put together the funds that allowed me to go and buy a new puppy.
Successfully completeing my first year at Uni, as well as getting on their Dressage Academy.
Being given a wonky, hatrack-rib-showing lump of a horse and seeing him come soooo good over the past 6 months - resulting in our first show-jumping rosette.

Highs:
1. Being Best Man at a long-standing friend's wedding. People even laughed during my speech
2. New car
3. My kids are nuts but very happy. Must be doing something right

Lows:
1. Teejay RIP
2. Not having ridden my bike since early July
3. Work has been somewhat less than enjoyable lately
4. Best friend has had a totally **** year and I've been worried about her for months

However, overall, 2008 has been okay (except for Teejay).

Low:

Losing my best mate to cancer, leaving behind his young wife and 3 children (RIP Mick)

(Nothing else seems worth worrying about, so that's my only low)

Highs:

Buying my bike in July after not having one for 17 years
My eldest daughter coming of age (18 )
Getting promoted in work
My step-mum recovering from bowel cancer

Highs

AR08 was good fun, meet loads of new people
Moving house, now have good housemates, nice enough area and a garage
Having some really good friends who picked me up when I was down, you all really helped those on and off the org.

Low

Problems at work, which I'm very sure have affected my health.

Highs:
meeting treacle & falling v much in love with him and it still going strong although alot of people said it woudnt work

meeting and becoming best mates with shellywoozle, she restored my faith in female friends

Getting my 2 bikes

lows:

All the family illness/drama and death my family have gone through this year

Lows - gettin chucked (again)

Highs - being single (again) and gettin a new bike
