Haggis

Haggis is great and one of the things I always look forwards too when working in Scotland. Shame it's not more commonly available 'doon sooth'.

On a related note, I find it hilarious how the yanks banned it after their surgeon general decreed it, "unfit for human consumption" as it contained lung. Every year loads of ex-pats get busted trying to smuggle haggis into the USA for their own Burns' night celebrations. It's not a drug FFS; legalise it, make a requirement to slap a prominent warning on the packaging, then allow people to import them and gain some tax from it.

I took 4 tins to newyork in November for thanksgiving. Never he any bother with customs, and they did search my bag.

I'm Scottish and I didn't even know it was Burns night!
Used to hate burns night at school because we had to learn a poem and re-site it in front of the class. That was soooo painful for me. I used to dread it
But haggis is yum! so is black pudding
