Quiff, although we've never met I've always figured that you were a decent, reasonably sane (as much as any of us here are anyway) sort of chap . . .

Now as is well known (and documented) on these hallowed pages I really don't like Ducati's - however, if I had the money to spare I would buy a 916 - to use as a coffee table - purely because it is such an iconic bike.

So, if you really want a piece of Italian form-over-function-mechanical-porn why not look for one of these ?

Obviously in your case you be buying it to ride - of course that would be when it's not in the workshop or stranded at the side of the road !!

Seriously though, if it's what you want then do it !! I'm sure you don't want to be in the position one day of having to say "you know, I really regret not buying that <insert whatever you like here> when I had the chance".

I know Dave- I cant justify an 8.. coupled with ongoin expense..

i just always wanted a Duc.. and things that have happenned recently within my family have given me a live for today new approach to life.
