I was typing with tongue in cheek I found I was destroying tyres with the R6 throttle tube, way too much power. It was more like a Yamaha M1 than an R6.

I've got the ignition advancer or whatever it is mod (DIY equivelent of the gstring) and can confirm my bike isn't as fast as an r6 in a straight line.

Agree with badger RE the suspension.

It adds so much power the brown sauce isn't going to be on your food...

The best way to get more horsepower from your SV650 is to sell it and buy an SV1000. Apart from a new exhaust, which most do for the noise rather than hp, its all pointless. You spend a large amount of money to do very little except take life out of your engine.

Ofc an SV1000 has got similar bhp to an r6, but it will eat it alive on acceleration
