lol @ badger, awesome use of pictures
![]() I often wonder, why don't brake fluid manufactures use molecular seives or similar water-absorbing materials suspended in their product, to help promote the stability of the brake fluid? I use molecular seives all the time in the lab to help preserve "dry" or "anhydrous" solvents. There isnt much you can do really to prevent water absorption, other than opening and doing everything in a dry, argon-filled glove box! Best thing to do is to keep the brake fluid some place dark, dry and at room temp, so when you open it water dosnt condense. Be intersting to analyse some samples of brake fluid, and monitor the rate of degredation by water mmm chemistry |

![]() Becaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaause . They want it to absorb water and go off so you will buy another bottle and thus , increase profits , they don`t make it just to make us feel good when we stop , they also make it to make them feel good when we don`t stop and have to buy another bottle . Wanted to say thanks
![]() With the help of the neighbour, replaced the brake fluid today, so the the front brakes are sweet and good to go. Just the back brake to to do now, should be easier now I have some experince. All I can say it is no where near as hard as most people think, with good advice of the org and the massive I have managed to do it. Well I am slowly learning ![]() |

Yeah it'll do, if you you have rubber grease i'd pop a bit round the rubber boot on the mastercylinder first but I wouldn't worry if you don't.
