Sorry - Hence the "Off topic" bit at the end.

I agree what you got isn't good and needs stopping .... but unable to let your point stand in the way of a good rant...

Natural selection at work.

Same with little idiots on their mini dirt bikes, let one of them go under a vehicle and that might (just) teach their mates the error of their ways. The Playstation generation have no appreciation of the risks involved and are to stupid to realise you cannot press 'RESET' in real life.

You also have question what the parents think their little angels are up to on these bikes...

Could argue that the Playstation Generation aren't given the opportunity to learn an appreciation of the risks involved.

i'm sure they would be if they gave a damn, or even knew. I know my mum would have been going nuts if she really knew half the stuff i got up to when i told her i was doing something else.

Call you local cop shop, speak to community liaison officer if they have one and DONT give them your name or address and tell them you dont want to be involved in any way.

last thing you need or want is the kids getting their bikes confiscated for whatever reason by the cops and them coming to take it out on you / your house/car/bike/gerbil whatever.

Ooops, forgot about your PM...I'll send it in a sec.

Mike is right, it's when nasty accidents happen that these kids learn the very real dangers of what they are doing. Unfortunately, thta is at the cost of potentially someones life. Yes you could call it natural selection, but these kids are very often the product of bad parenting so as much as they annoy me, their parents annoy me more.

One of our neighbours kids have a scrambler and they ride it up and down from time to time if they've been working on it, but they are farmers, they don't ride it in the roads, they are sensible and incredibly responsible lads, so don't bother us at all....in fact, Dan and I are usually taking the mic because being 6ft on a little thing like that looks hilarious.

If it's possible, police can seize and destroy the vehicles, but maybe they should also fine the parents to cover the costs.???

The police won't tell them who reported them though if you ask them not to.

Well then you have to ask who is preventing them learning this. I have my views but think it may both offend some and take the thread off topic, so will keep quiet.

The police shouldn't tell but from experience i know they can mess up like the rest of us and let it slip out. if you dont give them the info in the first place then they cant let it slip

Personal experience: Cop too scared to arrest 3 crims until backup arrives says to them, right in front of me..."if it was up to me lads i;d let you go right now but that fella there insists you be arrested" I hadn't insisted on any such thing, just confirmed to the cops that they didnt live in the house they had just smashed the front door into pieces to get into.

CID wanted me to make a formal complaint against the cop so the case could carry on against the 3 cos there was a lot of stuff CID wanted them for and they were furious this stupid cop had blown the case by messing up the arrest procedure too.

Well you're no fun - I'll just have to get back to work then.

Back on Topic:

Big plus one to Spider's advice.

Ciao.
