Yes. A fluids, pressures and safety check may take closer to 2min. Are we that hard up for time these days or is it just laziness?

Is there a 3rd option?
If not I guess I'll go with 'B'

I gotta ask though what fluids are you checking, Oil, and Brakes? and by pressures do you just mean you see if the light comes on or do you actually have a psi thingy to check them for you?

Im not been a **** they're genuine questions

Tyres will be right anywhere above 30psi, unless I'm going out for a scratch in which case I'll check them.

But TBH with the state my tyres are in at the moment, they handle better at <30. So I ignore them and figure I'll check the pressures when I fit some fresh ones!

My bike's never used any coolant, so I only bother very occasionally.

Why not? It takes me about two minutes to go through and check all of the levels and pressures, run a critical eye over everything and give the bike a rattle and a kick. Two minutes there can save me a day and a pile of money when I am 400km or more from home.

I would agree with giving things a rattle occasionally.

But, late for uni, you can guarantee I wouldn't be able to find the tyre pressure gauge, the coolant would go all over my boots, the valve stem would snap or something, the dustcaps would bounce under the fridge etc. etc.

Worst you'll do checking the oil is park the bike on your head!

The basics are:

Oil Level
Coolant Level
Tyre Condition & Pressures
Brake Fluid Levels - easy, just cast an eye over the resevoirs.
Cast an eye over the rest of the bike looking for leaks, damage, loose nuts or bolts, or anything out of the ordinary....
