I walked to our local shop on Thursday morning just to get a bottle of milk and they were sold out of milk and bread and the queue was massive! So I dug the car out and drove up to Tesco and it was virtually empty and the shelves were full, yesterday they were queing from the main road to get into the carpark and today it was fairly busy but probably no busier than a normal Sunday

I've just accepted that I can't win.

The other day I went shopping and because there were lots of people around in wheelchairs/shopmobility things I DIDN'T join the slightly shorter line for a disabled checkout and instead joined the normal one next to it.

Then some B**CH joines the disabled checkout line and she was packed up and paying for her stuff before I'd even moved forward!

That's the worst think in supermarket queues, you might spend ages deciding which queue to join, you pick one and don't move for over 5 minutes and you see the next one is moving quicker so you move tills...next thing you know someone has taken your place in the original queue and sailed through easy as pie...pi$$es me right off lol

Same thing happened to me - I went down to morrisons yesterday afternoon to buy some bits and it was PACKED with people! There was literally was no space to move, and people were barging pass other people and waking really fast and grabbing things off the shelves.

The car pack was also chaos as people were trying to park and trying to steal other peoples spaces

It was like the end of the world!

Those self-serve check-out things dont help. Bloomin' machines replacing humans - they are no quicker and always complain "unidentified baggage, the item isnt in the bag, assistant needs to verify your age" etc etc...meh waste of time they are
