Pretty much Claire yes. To me, at the moment, most, if not all cook books are just a collection of recipes. To cook any one of them can cost a small fortune, leave you with ingredients you may never use again and that is, IMO not very helpful to a home cook that's working on a budget, but trying to put better food on the table. My book will not have one ingredient in it that isn't also used in at least 2 other recipes. The recipes follow the seasons, so for each chapter, there will be seasonal variations. For example, in the "food for friends" chapter, there is a Whole pork shoulder pot roast that will feed up to 20 people for £30 as a good autumn/winter dish. There will also be a mixed tagine summer mezze where there will be 3 different tagines and an assortment of side dishes, again, feeding up to 20 for, this time, £25.

So, in short yes, it's an all sorts cook book. In fact, thinking about it, it is sounding a little like I'm writing a bit as a modern day Mrs. Beeton. I don't have a smidgen of the skill or knowledge that she had though!

Sequel would be easy. Every day I must think up at least 5 new recipes. I cannot cook them all. Just have to try and write them down so I don't forget them...lol. Could just keep bringing out the next installment with all new recipes...lol.

Funnily enough, he was one of the biggest forces in my actually getting this book deal. I only told him about the article I'd seen and he kind of gave me a telling off when I said I wasn't going to get in touch. Fearing the wrath () of Hovie baby, I made the leap and look where it's got me. From possibly writing a one off article, to having a book deal...lol.

Hmmm, like where you're going Claire .

Oh and yes, I am passionate about food. But I am equally passionate about everyone getting in the kitchen and learning to enjoy cooking, rather than do it as a necessity. We all deserve to be able to eat good home cooked food every day. Unfortunately, a lot of people don't have the confidence in the kitchen to try it themselves.

I'm not putting myself Mrs. Hooper, promise

Just telling the truth. There are soooooo many things that I don't know about yet in the food world. I'm not bothered by that at all. We all have to start somewhere

you are amzing you have got me off my backside and back inthe kitchen (not very recently but even so) you don't need to know it all anyway once you have the basics (and i am sur eyou have more than the basics) the rest is relatively easy

I hate cooking. It's normally burny burny hot hot and has sharp things and I am accident prone which in itself a receipe for disaster. I think you should do a cookbook for the accident prone. That would help me immensely.

BUUUUT, all joking aside, I liked what Viney put together earlier. The idea that you are not trying to be gimmicky. You are just Cheryl and you do nice food.

okay so i`m going to suggest that as Hovis was a big inspiration and the motivation behind you then he might somewhere in this book get a dedication?

What`s now in my head is that verse something about friends coming to you for a reason, a season or something else? Could the book go down that road ie. cooking for a reason, a season whatever?

lol i`m just rambling now, doing a bit of brainstorming
