Local radio stations reported queues at tesco petrol stations backing up onto main roads, and simillar elsewhere, so i went out at 5.20pm after i got home from work and drove to my local Esso on the main road and there were just 3 cars in there! Pulled in, filled up(i was genuinly empty btw), payed and was gone. It was 148.9p per litre of standard diesel, but thats normal round here.
I think this country need a strike, how can they justify the price of fuel when oil price is going down, yet fuel prices are going up? Easy money for the government.
Instead, why don't they save millions each week by getting the wasters taking the p*ss on the DOLE to go out and work, give them 6 weeks on the dole to find employment, if no job then they have to do 20hrs a week community service-litter picking, painting, etc to subsidise/earn their dole money.

You forget the reason so many are on dole mainly cause there isnt enough jobs to go round.

I'm going to be seriously pished off if I go to fill up tomorrow (like I do every week) and there's none left at my local station...or find that it's conveniently gone up another 3p overnight to milk us dry thanks to our wonderful scaremongering government

Can we run bikes on veggie oil yet? And by that I clearly mean curvies

143.x in central Cardiff, less as you headed out. Filled up with 140.something in Caerfilthy.

They were showing on the news "£20 max purchase per customer" signs. Er, what? What do they do if you just fill up anyway? Do they call the cops, or just tell all the panicbuying crazies and let them tear you to shreds?

Agree no jobs at all in the job center, I suspect you mean no jobs that pay more than claiming benefits.

I got home from work this morning and the Mrs was waiting on the drive asking if she could take my car as hers had no petrol in and she had left her purse at work.

So when I got up this afternoon I went to the local petrol station in her car and it was out of petrol. Drove 4 miles to the next station and there was a massive queue, had to wait 20 mins to full up. Heard the bloke in the shop chatting to someone else saying they had only just had a delivery in and there were around a dozen people who spent all day there (in the middle of nowhere) waiting for the delivery. These people obviously don't work and have nothing better to do with their day so why the hell do they need petrol anyway.

If I was to fill the car up it would last at least 3 weeks, we have had it about 6 months now and it's never been full yet, £20 a week ish we use ^ those people are probobly filling up cos otherwise they won't be able to pop to the shop's.

Government advice to the BBC..

People should keep their cars topped up. Fair people aren't filling completely as they are saving cash, but they should go the full hog and fill up when they can

WTF
I havent filled my car up for 18 months! Will the nesbit mp like to fill it for me? Hell be most upset by the hole in his pocket. I put in as much I can afford for the days I use it.......because I havent the money to go the whole hog as he put it.....

Frickin morons......now I have plenty of tin hats if everyone wants to join my club!!!_ two days its taken and the government has tripped itself up and exposed itself doing exactly what I said it was trying to do

The old Haz-mat / ADR course is 5 days long, and it was 80 RAF personnel getting trained.
in my unit alone we have over 10 personnel that can drive HGV fuel tankers, me being one.
So if I get asked I will drive as ordered... And it will be more experience for when I get out / Demob :0)
