I have the rear end jacked up, the Ohlins shock lenghtened, and the SRAD forks dropped a little on the 800 and it does not slap at all. Mind you the suspension and chassis all work together, it is this that stops tank slappers.

Iv had a few wiggles going through corners but the worst one was when I hit a bump going through a fast corner and I'm sure I heard it hit the stop full right and then hit the stop full left (while leaning around a righthand corner) and then the front tyre screetched as the front touched down after the bumps. I needed to sit down after that one.

Yeah, I've had the geometry on mine pretty aggressive- lowered GSXR front, Ohlins rear at full length, and JHS shorter dogbones- and the only time it flapped was when I'd messed up the suspension settings. I did get that one big lock-to-lock slapper but that was a combination of terrible suspension setup (I'd given it far too much rebound damping) and ridign a bit too hard on a very bumpy road- the rear shock started packing, and kicked off a big front/rear wobble, which in turn weighted and unweighted the front wheel. Not nice- but it took a lot of work to get the suspension that bad

I think I worded that badly, it did it once in 27k, it wasn't a regular thing[1]. I suspect that at the time I had maybe a square-ish rear or possible that tyre pressures were wrong or something else.

[1] If it had done it again I would have been off to get a steering damper pretty smartish!

Only had the one small shake out of mine and that was a couple of weeks ago, the bike I've had for 5 years it's never done it before and the tyres are just about to be replaced and the suspension is in need of servicing (throwing away and swapped for srad more like) but it only done it because I provoked it by riding badly over a level crossing and it wasn't anything that would cause any staining of the kelvins.
