I personaly dont like AGV's my brother had one and

1. It misted up something cronic
2. The visor didnt seal
3. It was noisy
4. After 6 - 7 months of every day use the cheekpads were so deformed that it didnt fit him properly anymore.

Liz also had an AGV that did the same. For me personally I wouldnt wear anything other than a Shoei or an Arai.

If you dont have a lot of money, have a look at the Shoei Raid II, always gets good reviews in writeups and it is reasonably priced.
I have had a few helmets in my time and now I have the AGV, I've not had any of those problems with mine.

Also, when I was looking for helmets I was told on more tha one occasion that you either have an Arai head or a Shoei head....yours is both?

Under NO circumstances mess about with the stitching on your lid strap.

There are scare stories about the buckle type straps - but they're just that, scare stories, the buckles must be BS approved to be sold here and thus work fine, of course if you don't do it up right it won't work whatever type it is, and I personally feel this is less likely with 'D' ring fastenings, which is the type I prefer anyway.

PS. Replica lids = Tacky tat.
