The point is that however contrived the story was you will believe what you want based on your own feelings. There is some interesting statements in the 'story' that perhaps represent how Brits feel at the moment as we seem to live in a nanny state and in a position where we roll over to the demand of immigrants and other minorities (which to some extent we do need to accommodate) to the detriment (perception?) of our own freedoms.

All the stories developed over the Iraq invasion from need to invade to help the Iraqi People to its just a way to protect our oil interests etc - which do you believe based on your statements? The one that feels right to you. Similar arguments took place over the Falklands and every other war.

Why do some people think the world can live in pure peace and harmony? get real, we are human beings with widely differing cultures and needs. We are naturally protective/aggressive and aggression is a natural tool. The animal kingdom is very similar.

Yeah, you've got to realise what this stuff is. Hitler didn't get his people to burn and destroy jews by ordering them to, they just circulated stories like this till they did it themselves.
