I think i might be getting the Poly26 belly pan as it seems to cover the downpipes better, tehy dont seem to do a colour matched one for the silver SV.

However, i can get colourmatched paint made up easily and i'll spray it myself.

The huggers available looka bit ugly so i think the redfox one may be in need of purchasing.

Just out of interest does anyone have pictures of their SV 650 S K4 with Belly pans etc on, thanks very much

Hi Pete - congrats on the bike - looks like you got a good deal!

Just a couple of things tho...I know its tempting to start bolting things to you bike as soon as you get it (I know, cos thats what I did), but maybe just use it for a while, then buy things as you need them - e.g. the bellypan - I was really tempted to get one for mine (still might do), but am not sure of the argument about keeping the road crud off the downpipes - you could argue that if it is exposed, its more likely to be cleaned on a regular basis, rather than having to take the belly pan off every time...

Huggers are a good idea tho...saves the shock and the undertray...

HTH,

BB.

Cheers BB,

Dont worry, i'm not buying all at once, I'm used to cleaning bikes properly, takes around 6 hours for me to clean a bike. That involves taking all the plastics off so i can clean the insides.

Thats even with my two sports bikes.

Dad had a belly pan, hugger and fender extender on his fazer and said they were the best things he ever bought.

Not in a rush for big things like exhausts, my CBR will be the first for that one i dare say. so thats the only things i'll be after which looking price wise will cost around £200 which aint bad.

Cheers anyway, not long til i pick it up

Insurance is the reason.

I can afford to ride the SV as it only costs £300 Fully comp, whereas the CBR is around £800.

At the moment i dont have enough money to insure both, so I am running the cheaper of the two.

That make sense? (does to me lol)

and BB dont worry no offence taken.

I've been riding since May 2004 and i have until 1st March 08 for restriction to end. Not long really as i dont ride in real bad weather (Ice etc) so over the depths of winter i wont be losing out on much time.

Looking forward to having a proper licence and not the restricted style lol.
