Have a read of this... I know it wikipedia and it cant be verified or to some extent trusted.. but it makes sense to me.

Also I read somewhere that when the put The Stig in the Renault F1 car, they would only let somebody with an F1 super licence in it, and IIRC it was the Renault test driver at the time I just cant remember who it was.

but didnt hammond drive an f1 renault without a license?

Yep, but he wasnt trying to set a lap time round the top gear test track...

nope don't go pillion on the raptor, its like a block of wood...I am currently trying to get him to buy me an Xtra rap for xmas
