is this the home safe thread?? or should i start a not so safe home thread

I'm home.. doctors gave me the all clear and sent me on my merry way. xrayed, prodded, poked, stripped and made to wear a bloody back to front hospital dressy thing

not sure excatly, but I ran into the back of Ed (whether from hitting the brakes hard and sliding into him, or just rear ending him is a mystery) but thankfully Ed stayed on (hope you ok Ed and i;m really sorry) i havent seen the bike yet.. as the welsh police have it.. (nice recovery bill coming my way) but helmet and gear fubar

I wanna say a massive thank you to all that helped today and an especially massive thanks to Mark for popping round and feeding the hound dog and Chris for going back to Wrexham to fetch me (sore ass and all fankoo fankooo fankoooo not sure how i can ever repay your kindness

all in all an eventful day, and maybe chris will pop in to explain his sore backside - hope its feeling better soon my friend (i got some feather pillows if you need them for the van

thanks christopher - the route we did was great, and hope that we can do it again next year

take care out there guys...

Oh no! Sounds like an "eventful" ride! Glad you're all still standing, hope the bikes aren't too badly damaged.

The main thing is that you`re not badly hurt hun, things could have been so much worse. I`m pretty sure that the riding conditions today were challenging to say the least so all credit to you for getting out there.

I hope the bike isn`t too badly damaged and if I can help in any way please let me know. Take it easy and I hope you`re up and about very soon.

PS: Does this mean that you won`t be doing a ride to Yorkshire with me next weekend

I've already said I'm not organising another ride

Joking aside really glad you're alright, wasn't much fun waiting in Bala with Ian (guy who came with Ed) marking the junction only to be told by another biker that a bike had gone down... and then seeing a bloke jump out of his 4X4 and run across to the fire station, then 20 seconds later a fire engine leaving. I couldn't get hold of any of your phones (I had no signal either when I got to you) so was rather worried!

Bike didn't look too bad, although I'll be honest I wasn't paying much attention to it as was more concerned about you of course. Front nose cone was cracked (headlights appeared okay), crash bung came off after taking most of the damage I think, indicator snapped, front wheel looked like it had a bit of a scrape (may have been mud/gravel), levers may have snapped too I guess as they usually do. Radiator looked straight, so hopefully nothing too costly.

I have spoken to Ed (no internet in his caravan) and told him you're alright and out of hospital, all very pleased and relieved to hear you'd escaped hospital so quickly with no serious injuries. Spinal board is normally always used as a precaution but never nice seeing someone going off on one.

Feel better soon, going to ache in the morning no doubt

Good to hear there are no big injuries Ness. Dont be worrying about the bike, it can be repaired, I`ll get my mate in Mossley at the body shop on the job if any repairs and painting is required. Clothing can be replaced too so keep smiling and dont be worrying.

Anyone had an update from Rumblebee about the state of his bike?

Glad to hear all are home safe and relatively unscathed.
