I haven't been out since October and I miss it some days but on some others I'm almost glad I have to get the train to work or have a car to drive.

Snow, ice, cold etc is deffo not for me but a crisp bright morning has me longing to get out there. If only the girlfriend would stop dragging me off Christmas shopping...

Good point I guess. Those of us with cars should be grateful that we can get in them when convenient and are not stranded in that kind of weather, but that's all the car is for me at the moment, something with a roof, other than snow and ice I don't think I had many journeys this winter where I wouldn't have preferred to be on the bike.

Depends why you like your bike as to if you want to ride it. No car for me - no point IMO when you live in this country. I hate sitting in traffic. Would prefer to be wet and cold than stuck in a que. I love the bike what ever the weather is doing - crap roads are just more challanging. I mainly love it for the fact it (or I should say they) are my only form of transport so represent my freedom - that keeps me on it all year. if it was a toy I dare say I would have no urge at all to ride with the weather as it is. Also if the last ride you remember was a bit rubbish, then that is what will stiuck with you. I always remember my european tours if I am wondering why I own a bike - Always brings a smile to my face.

My last ride was the AR, which was amazing...all the markers will be able to agree with me on that as well as everyone else on the ride, fantastic roads, great weather, couldn't have asked for more.

Perhaps it was the culmination of lots of planning and not being able to share it all with the person that it was planned with? Don't know, I just know I still love bikes, still love the idea of riding, just not on the road.

Nothing to do with the bike itself....it's amazing to ride, very easy, very comfortable.

Rode in as normal today but hoping these current snow showers dont settle, or coupled with the freezing temps it may make my ride home... interesting.
