I'd rather have a giggle about it than some of the responses on here by people I've not spotted in a Soho thread before, who then wonder why the OP is no where to be seen!

It was even funnier on the night that the bouncer vanished after the incident and I told macristo that he'd probably gone to get tooled up

Got to say I think it's shocking the way customer facing staff ( in a lot of places ) have very poor customer relation skills. Why can't things be like it used to be where you walked into a shop and got treated with respect.

I can see why the op is upset and why he's wrote the letter. The fact that he was trying to be a smart ass with the bouncer has undermined any moral standing he might have had.

And got to agree with quiff. Most people south of Sheffield seem to only be concerned with how the world treats them and not the other way round. Move up north

What's the issue with people posting in a Soho thread? I didn't even look to see which section the thread had been posted in, maybe I should have but even if I had I would have posted. Is it not the done thing to mix between sections and post?

I think the complaint is that we don't know either the smart-ass comment maker nor the shirty bog-bouncer which is a fair challenge. However it's clear that the OP was seeking support in his complaint but instead basically was told to grow-up by a majority of posters.

As for posting "out of area" maybe we need to start passport control in the GM region given the broad spectrum of nutters we seem to get posting in or friendly little southern Empire these days.

It is a regional thread, not idle banter. I'm merely stating that half the forum has descended on the thread which might be an attributing factor for the OP not responding.

In the main I think people are responding to the OP and the subsequent discussion. It's not yet decended into "idle banter" territory. People are responding because it's actually pretty interesting to get a view on how a cross-section of society view the situation.

If you are suggesting that those who do not attend Soho meets are not supposed to post in the Soho region then that's a point of view but that would make you pretty unique amongst the regional sections.
