I'm an electronics technician currently working on and instructing Russian valve based electronics. I work on and instuct the electronics side of one of these:

I'm not bad with a spanner but luckily have a workmate who's a genius with bikes whose skills have been amazingly useful in repairing my SV and in finding an electrical problem on the Ducati.

Well, lots of handy people here.

Me? I put petrol in, turn the key and twist the throttle. Thats it as far as my mechanical nouse goes.

For a 'living' I have a small independent video games shop. Remember where you read it when it comes time for MotoGP 2007 for 360

I am currently in the hunt for a part time job working for PA Sports as an Actim Stats Analyst. Should find out next week if I was succesful (fingers crossed).

So, don't ask me to come and fix your bike, but if you want a cheap game, I'm your man!

Director of a computer software house - sounds grand but basically just another programmer who's worked his way up the food chain.

I can take a Triumph Stag to pieces & put it back together again (with no 'spare' parts leftover) but I've not yet done much to the SV - it's only a matter of time but nowt's needed doing yet.

Problem is all my toolkit is imperial (read Triumph Stag, MG's, Spitfires etc) looks like I'll have to update that before I even start to tinker with the SV.

Mike.

A mechanical (design?) engineer in building services at the moment but might go elsewhere...I will not allow myself to be stuck in this industry for long. Graduated last year with my Batchelors degree.

Bikes wise, I always do work on them myself as I don't feel comfortable paying anyone else to do it when all they have effectively done is follow instructions from a haynes manual. I'm like that with everything in life, especially DIY and decorating around the house.

Another one of those IT folk;

Graduated a couple of years ago in Computer Science from Warwick uni, but now work for IBM as a Customer Engineer (hardware engineer) fixing servers and the like. I love my job, but think I may wish to get back into programming at some point!

As for bike mechanics - I haven't done a single thing to mine yet as all its done is sit in my garage; however, I tackle lots of things with a car (including fitting several cat1 alarms) so don't see there being too many hurdles on the bike. I also have a good friend who is much more mechanically minded! So basically, I have very little to offer you guys

Yet another IT bod... nothing special I'm afraid. Used to do 3rd line Wintel support on Abbey's head office servers, when they got bought by the Spanish lot Santander I got made redundant and now do anything IT related for a small pet food manufacturer. Pleasant though my current job is I'm sort of itching to get back into a big managed services operation with more responsiblity and demanding more technically (can't believe I'm saying that). That said I'm probably a good person to fix your home PC, can build systems and find solutions to problems.

Bike wise. I have a lot of theoretical knowledge but I'm struggling to turn that into practical knowledge because I'm too scared. I've done chain & sprockets, fork seals, oil change, scot oiler install, wheels in and out, changed a tyre or two when I had access to the machine. Really want to do more with bikes but a mixture of I guess lazyness and scaredness means I need to be pushed to get started.
