I've been keeping up to date on my jabs lately so I've managed to avoid it!

Failing this, just gaffer tape pillows all over the SV for protection (I wanna see if this idea takes off, then perhaps I'll start mass production of Bike Pillows (TM) a custom made pillow that fits snuggly over your entire bike to protect it in the even of an accident)!

Hellllloooooooooooooooooooooooo. I'm back......

Just done 70 miles......was aaaaaaaaammmmmmaaaaaziiiinnnnnnnngggggg.

Big smiles all round. The reason I requested Mrs Drew (Lindsey by the way) to post the good news was that I was too impatient to get on the bike!!!!! And I loved it.

The only annoying thing was on a straight bit of dual track, had to keep it at 65, as any higher and I was nearly crossing the 5000rpm mark, so guess need to be careful of that.

Thank you to everyone for the congrats, I can't wait to go on a ride with some of you. Should have a bit more experience as will be commuting daily soon.

Was cold this morning, but since then was quite toastie, my nuts weren't by my lungs, but Mrs Drew did comment "Man it shrinks!!!!".......... Way to burst my bubble. lol

Anyway. Cheers for all the posts, your all such a caring bunch.

Glad you enjoyed it, take it easy for a bit so not to catch yourself out.

I remember my first ride after my test, I **** myself with the acceleration, the smile just gets bigger and bigger every time you go out!!!!

Wayhey! Well done!!

Just take it easy, your still learning! But now you dont have to worry about reaching test standard - you've already done that!

Not sure I'd be too bothered about going over 5k revs occasionally. There are lots of views on the best way to run in a new bike.
