Ye Olde Triumph Handbooke says never to cut the engine on the kill switch as it logs a fault in the ECU and can cause fuelling problems apparently - it's for emergency use only.

I use my pegs to turn mostly, yes with a bit of bar. Best time to watch countersteering in action is the Moto GP boys on Eurosport, when they show the camera of front wheel.

I think it's the trail. There's been lots of talk on the Daytona forum of dropping or raising forks through triple clamps to increase the trail? (I may be wrong here). Apparently the 675 has a very short trail compared with all of the Jap bikes and by increasing it slightly it makes the bike feel more stable. I've tried contacting a proffesional suspension fella on there to ask but he doesn't seem to want to help me.

I refer back to the "How do you run over your own foot" question. I think someone on hear knows how?!

You get stability by raising the front up, you get handling by dropping the front down ...

Is it the trail Blue? Do you think it's worth a play?

They reckon 5mm does it and there's very little or no loss of agility.

Ive discovered that my new bike requires more countersteer to turn in on really tight corners <20MPH types. Its wierd. Countersteering is always good when you want to get it on its side quick.

Can you countersteer too much. Yes... obviously. Jam them right round and your clearly going to crash. If you keep countersteering in a corner youll start going wide and understeering.

Youll often countersteer without realising it, its kinda natural.

They have done experiments on steering without being able to turn the bars and no one cound do it right!

There is my two pence. Sorry if I have said what has already been said but its a lot to read and take in

Is it right that it might stop that sudden falling feeling I've been getting? Played with suspension the other day and copied settings for softer from the manual and it felt horrible.

Falling feeling!?

I find harder suspension feels a tonne better in corners. Nothing worse than the bike just been sloppy!
