You don't need to change oil when you change clutch

Ah- OK. I might request an oil change when he's doing it anyway- is about due for one.

Do it yourself? Best way then you know exactly what is going in the bike

On another note my SV tends to burn alot of oil when ridden hard but the plugs show the mixture is spot on! Also when I warm the bike up in the morning with the choke out for about 20secs you can smell it and see it burning extra oil (slight bit of white smoke).

After topping up before the catherine wheel run (right up to the full line) in two weeks it has burned through 3/4 of it. Glad I got around to checking it last night to be honest.

Personally I buy that Castrol Power 1 stuff for 35-40 from Halfords but that's just choice.

White smoke wont be oil, oil smoke is blue. Itll just be water steaming away, well there might be some oil in ofcourse... Not too bad though.

You think though the line in the glass doesnt show all the oil so if it does go down a lot in the mirror its probably still a small percentage of the amount carried.

Yeah fair point. That window in the clutch cover will only be a very small percentage of the actual oil in the engine.

Damn I knew I had got the colours of smoke wrong when I posted it
