Bike is now at Hunts for assessment looking very poorly. The entire left side is binned. Cracked engine casing, all fairing panels on the left, nose cone, fairing brackets, indicators, footpeg, gear lever, bar end, bent bars, screen.... The list goes on. I'm pretty upset about it. Might well be a write-off.
Fairings? What you want them for?

It's pretty much all cosmetics and should be pretty cheap to put back on road... personally I wouldn't bother with insurance, they'll roger you well properly next year if you claim.

The engine casing needs looking at carefully though, if it's been pushed in too far and nudged the crank then you could have problems but you'd have to take the casing off and have a look

As for nothing wrong with your brain case... I demand a recount!

Yeah but you forget that some of us like to ride our bikes looking pristine, not all of us like the idea of a rat on the road by the sounds of it, and the only way of getting her pristine tupperware of death back on the road (if at all) would be to go insurance route and deal with it appropriately

Not all of us are within reach of kind mucky mechanical types that know what they are doing to repair it either...I'm lucky in that respect...cause if I didn't have one of those Im Indoors wouldn't so it

Easy enough to get panels replaced or repaired, you DON'T need a main dealer and a 3 million pound repair bill to get a bike looking clean!

10 out of 10 for a stylish drop, just don't do it again. GWS bikes can allways be replaced or rebuilt, we are not generally so resistant to damage.
