As for the KJV version; just have a look at stories from all parts of the globe. You'd be surprised how often the likes of Noah pops up. So have the language/version of your choosing

God hasn't left me a present once; or shown me any sign he's there. And of course it's a he. Religion always stems from a backward, sexist state. Even god's missus Mary, wasn't allowed a bit of heaven love

*groan* bad pun. And as for the bibical story, there is one carved by the Egyptians that starts "Our Father Who Art in Heaven"...just means that (as per other religions) the early christians cribbed a lot .

Mmmm, I think god DID give you a present...it was called "I got born without anything majorly wrong with my system(s)" - human biology is boggling to me...so many things can go wrong, but dont!

As for Mary, start reading more - it wasnt until the 9th century that Mary was downplayed into being the dutiful little woman. Up until then, she was given a lot of credit for being a military/religious leader.

Evolution is a wonderful, beautiful thing!

Saying 'I don't understand it, so god MUST exist' is a fallacy of the highest degree

Mary had a little lamb, its fleece was white as snow.
Everywhere that Mary went, the lamb was sure to go.
It followed her to the halal butchers one day, as she forgot to check,
The butcher blessed and killed the lamb, then bled it by its neck.

I think the best way to view the human physiology is that it's just a machine, perfected over time to be very very good at it's job (although not perfect).

Surely if god made us "in his image" then there would be no illnesses etc (especially things like kids dying from diabetes etc).

If we were a perfect species then there wouldn't be so many of us. Without disease we'd eat ourselves to death
