My battery's supprisingly resilliant...infact the whole bike is. It'd been in storage for almost two years when I bought it. The guy wheeled it out of the garage, I put a bit of new super in with the old petrol and zapped it. Off it went, mate drove it home. Since then it's started everytime, been on and off a charger for a few weeks at a time while it's been rebuilt but it still flippin works...I wouldn't worry about it.

The light wireing is dead simple.
Cut a little bit solder a little bit and it should all work as long as you get the right wire. Although if you buy a whole light unit it should just plug stright into the old loom and work. |

A proper headlamp has a H4 bulb so is literally plug and play.
