He was a bit worried about group riding, but after a bit of persuading (and we never really meant the bit about his kneecaps, or his dog ) he came along and had a great time.

Besides you would be with about 100 people who ALL know how to pick an SV up - On the way to the 2007 AR I managed to stop too close the edge of an un-kerbed bit of motorway slip road (ie the side of the road was about 2-3inches lower than the road surface - we soon had my SV off its side..........

Heys guys bit of an update!

Shes here! I can touch the floor and hold her up, in the garage but i don't feel its enough for riding, my bum ain't properly on the seat.

I know some people will say stop being a whimp and get out there but it just isn't lowered enough!

So next thing is to find out what size dogbones where put on and get longer if not i'll have to get a shorter shock my dad and looked with me sitting on the bike and there LOADS of ground clearance still so thats good.

So i have a email from hagon they do custom shocks with 10mm-50mm stages think i would just go full hog and get the 50mm one then i'll defo be fine! there enough clearance for that!

Question is do they come cheaper from anyway or have i gott pay the £300?

yup, a standard Hagon shock is £275. I'm quite surprised a custom one is only a couple o squid more, just hope it does what you need it to do, cause thats a lot a spends for something that might be rubbish

Me personally (no offence) if I was vertically challenged, I'd do your dog bones first, try it out and see if you can live with that. Did luckypants give you the sizes of the ones he put on Speedys?
Get used to how it is from there. If your really really not happy, then go for the shock swap. Your mechanically minded, weigh up if it might change things for the worse having a shorter shock, would it turn it to some sorta chop, or be awkward with the standard front end? maybe make th handling horrid. I don't understand the physics much on that I'm afraid, but minded enough to ask daft question..lol

Yh i've emailed th eguys to ask the length of the dogbones, i'm hoping there aren't the longest then it;'ll only cost me £15 bit of a difference, you right about the handling but the way i look at it is i never rode it stock so i don't know the difference i've only every rode 125 cruisers which the handling is shocking!

I gonna see about the dogbones if not i'll have to fork out for the shock, i've not come this far to fall at the last hurdle if it only cost £300 i'll have to see if the bank of dad is open!
