Right , I have tried this . Here is the results of what I did last week .
Bike was ridden between 5k and 7k on the rev counter , no aggressive acceleration , smooth and progressive and no gears were lazily chugged . No speed limits were exceeded in any great way (talking a couple of miles over if anything on a couple of occassions) . Tyres were set to manufacturers recomended settings and chain is Scottoiled and nice and free and clean with the chain tensioned to "just nice" . So I rode for a whole week like this and the best I got before that damned light came on ............................................... 125 miles ![]() ![]() |

Yeah that`s when your in progressive mode , i.e. "Getting a Wriggle on" , this 150 figure before reserve light comes on seems to be quite odd . Got to be a plausable reason for it like a bigger tank or slightly different engine , or lack of me doing something ........... it`s getting on my thruppeny bits now .

I have always thought the go juice never lasted very long.
Mind, I don't ride the thing with a view to economy tbh. Bear in mind that over here we have lots of twisty bits, hills, single carriageway roads. The guys doing 150 miles might be on dual carriageways and motorways a lot more than we are. |

Yeah , I never watch the fuel , light goes on , fuel goes in , twist the fun stick til it`s wrinkled dry , repeat process . I did my run on my commute to work though Skeetly so apart from a mile a day it was practically 30 miles of A55 .
