PS3 v XBox.

I do see your point kind sir, and it is a good one.
I guess some people see the value in it and some don't.

Oh yeah that's something I forgot to say, I can appreciate hardcore gamers would rather pay for the more reliable servers* and the comfort of knowing that they benefit from marginally increased graphics power that their ps3 comrades do not.
But for someone like me that rarely uses the thing bar watching movies and streaming tv, has 6 (4 top ps3 title) games but spends half his gaming time smashed of his tits playing playstation 1's crash team racing or worms...it just ain't worth it!

I wonder if ps3 made a 'priority service' for their online play it would attract more gamers?

*(that said;never had a problem with PS3 myself and was talking to a dork the other day who was ranting about cod black ops lag on the xbox online)

sure ps3 does already have a premium service that you can pay for. Between the 2 consoles it only comes down to what you want it for, if you want good on-line gaming then only the xbox will give you that. if you want a great entertainment system then only the ps3 will give you that.
x-box live costs about 3.50 or something a month, i use more than that a month in petrol carrying passengers in my car lol

Not Microsoft. I make my Microsoft donation through my PC, so they can ram their console. Any xbox games I fancy I will get for PC. (None yet)

That lag is because the morons who made the games (mw2 and Black ops) decided dedicated servers were a bad idea, so they have made it so one xbox is the master and that the xboxs all have a shared connection (so each xbox talks to each xbox etc (same for PC and PS3 as well) and so when you get one or two weak connections it screws the whole game, and there are a LOT of bad connections out there, especially considering the game setup client dont mind throwing Europeans in with Americans for example.

This lag is entirely the failing of the game.

Get Bad company 2 and have a better game.

Bad company 2 is a completely different type of game though. It's no where near as fast paced and is a lot more spread out. It doesn't quite match the addictive gaming of COD.

Ah yea, you only have 16 player servers right? he he. 32 player is the daddy...

Were having great fun on playstation move kids love the camera function which the wii doesnt have,

plus points for me with ps3 is - free online gaming - vidzone (streaming music videos on demand) - bbci player - blueray - internet access - sony quality and touch wood for the last 2 years good reliability
