I have tatoo's on both arms, upper and lower. I have to say that I truely regret every one of them, especially those on my forearms. I now live in the "corporate" world and cannot wear short sleeved shirts in the summer. I believe it doesn't set the right tone for somebody of my seniority, and therefore have to rely on the aircon on warm days....

Please, don't come back with any comments about how I feel. I had first one done at 16, I'm now 44, and have regreted having them done for the last 20 years..... I should have listened to me Dad.....

So would you advise against me getting them?

I was thinking of getting something on my upper arms, bi-cep area. Would this hinder me in "corporate world" as i want to get into business when im older and after my A-levels.

I just grew up in a different world to the one in which I now live. Like I said, I regret every one of them, and my 16 year old Student son hears that every day, as I don't want him to make the same mistake.

But at the end of the day, the choice is yours.....

LMAO..............my son was DEAD against me having a tattoo.............even though he'd got one. I just think he was jealous cos mine's bigger and better than his!

I also chose to have mine in a place not seen in normal day to day life, as I know some people really don't like them, especially on women.

I have the same problem as Jelster.Mine are on my outer fore arms. I don't dislike tattoo's but wished I would have had them done on my upper arms. The majority of my working life has also seen me unable to wear short sleeves during business hours, which now I live in Spain can be a nightmare believe me.

Don't have one but often thought about getting a Senna "S" on my right shoulder.
Same as my Avatar.
Next to my heart and all that.

LOL that reminds me of my Grandfather, covered in tattoo's from his navy days in WWII, he regretted the lot of them, When my Dad was young and considering a tattoo on his arm, My Grandad simply said "If you come home with a tattoo on your arm I'll cut your arm off"

Safe to say, Dads got none.

I've got five just not got any pics at mo', I'll get camera out tomorrow.

I have a few. From awful to quite good.

First is right lower arm (the worst) This one is 21 years old and was done by a novice. Yeah I know you can tell. I hate it.

2nd one I had on the left upper arm. Better but still crap. Tattoo art work has come along way in the 15 years since I had it done.

Next one is on the right upper arm. Yes it did used to have a name on it. Ex wife so the less said about that the better.

Next comes the one on the right side chest. This one a particularly like. Fantastic detail and the outline lines are so sharp and thin. Great bit of work.

Last is the one on my lower back. This one is my daughters name. It's my own design, therefore unique. I like it a lot.

None of the pictures do the tattoos justice as they were taken with my camera phone and I took them myself. They look better in the flesh so to speak.

Hope to be getting another few when I can afford the luxury

That third one is really smart, bigape.

None myself as yet, but always on the lookout for a design ideas. Would almost certainly be celtic influence. I wouldn't be disappointed if I never get one, but would be annoyed if I rushed in and got something I hated the next week!
