Sorry to hear it, it sucks when there was absolutely nothing you could have done doesn't it? I was in the same boat (TPF&T), the solicitor should be able to sort out most things for you but it takes a while, I'm still waiting for the personal injury claim to happen.

Its likely that your bike is a write off, was it taken somewhere and is it getting charged for storage? If so I would suggest you get it moved to your home address and then send the invoice for the storage charges to your solicitor, you need to send all invoices to the solicitor so that it can all be claimed back.

If you get another bike whilst this is all still in progress, you will have a crap time getting insurance until the van's insurance company has accepted liability and you have that in writing to send to the insurance company.

Glad to hear you are ok as thats the main thing, yes its upsetting to see your lovely bike all broken but you are ok so you can get on and look for another bike!

the AA wanted to charge me £65 to get the bike home so i told them politely to go away and phoned a friend who had a pick up truck, he got the bike home for me.

ive just had a nice letter off my insurance saying that they cant help because of TPF+T so its up to the solicitors now.

Hey mate, only just saw this! What a terrible thing to happen, just nothing you can do about it. As the only member of the org I have ever met, you are a great bloke, and I am very glad you are relatively ok. At least it is clearly not your fault so you should eventually be back riding around on an even shinier bike hopefully at the wvm's expense. Still quite nasty pictures. Its always a shock to see the thread title of someone you know.

But you look like you may need it more
