That's quite an assumption you're making there. As it happens, when I was younger I had to have a strictly enforced diet (powdered milk still makes me feel quite sick, to this day) and regular checks from the doc for 2-3 years because of my weight. I wasn't even particularly eating a lot, or being inactive, at the time. Although they weren't the cause of the problem (which was something to do with the way my body was handling milk), eating more healthily and exercising more, unsuprisingly made me loose the weight.

I made my opinion known on that subject in the thread about it

In summary, no, it's not right that a child be forcibly removed from an environment, regardless of the reasons unless that is the only possible resolution to the issue.
