Cheers Matey

Im already searching though the web for my new gear. Am thinking this time around of having leathers but using waterproofs over the top when needed.

The textiles have done well, but, the state of them is silly, I could use the jacket as a collander!!!! So thinking that I will get leathers and will also add the gear and leathers to my insurance policy for the future, who knows, will see how much that comes out as.

Drew

You will be amazed, as the damage is lets say minimal.

Right.....worked out how to do pics, so here goes.....

First off here is a picture of the left side of the bike. The bike did not flip at all, but simply slid down the mway on the crash bung......the bung certainly did its job!!!!

The second pic is that of the front fairing....its not a good pic, but best could get...

Other than that, the front fairing bracket has shifted, which I couldn't get a pic of. The Tank had a scuff from my boot......

Here is another LSide pic, but shows the gear selector gone, plus you can't really see but the axel nut has ground on the floor, the indicators need doing, plus clutch lever etc.....

Finally, my helmet.......you can see the area ground down to the under material by the chin, the visor and then you can't see, but on top it is ground also and the plastics are broken on top also.

So all in all, it looks like a slow speed crash, hence why I am the luckiest man on the org I think. The garage said, if any part had contacted with the white rumble strip, the bike would have been a write off, as it would have gripped the white material and flipped it into the armco barrier.

Yup, forks, frame, engine and wheels are all good apparently, the bike basically slid on the crash bung.....if it wasn't for the R&G's then who knows.

I don't think I can stress the R&G's enough, worth every penny. As for the helmet, I'm still amazed how the visor didn't open, as the catch to lift it up with was also ground a bit, so must have caught the ground. Nevermind, still smiling.
