Double edged sword that. The gene that's been selectively removed may have other positive effects, which are not fully understood. So by removing the gene thus making breast cancer less likely (though not impossible), scientists may of made the child's life worse than it could of been without messing around.

read the thread fully

they didn't alter anything, only selected a naturally occuring embryo which didn't have the faulty gene, children are born every day without it and there's no evidence to suggest not having it is a negative

So from the argument above, all God has done, is "given man the ability to choose which embryo is born."

It makes me wonder how many "negative" gene's the chosen embryo has - which haven't been discovered yet for example, compared to the ones that were not chosen.
