Liz is the same on her Ducati 749S shes just got used to it and it doesnt stop her doing anything she wants to. I have another friend who had a Ninja 6, she could only get one foot down and that hardly at all, never her stopped her diong anything she wanted to do either. If you can touch the floor and hold the bike up then it is lowered enough. I know you feel its not but thats just a confidence thing, go and take it for a ride and see how you get on, you wont build your confidence up by leaving it in the garage fretting about lowering kits. Go on I bet you get on better than you think you do.

Your other option is to buy some different boots. Some of the ladies on the forum that are short in the leg, recommend Daytona Ladystars, so that might be worth a try.
I'd imagine once you've got your confidence up the one foot down thing wont be an issue...

Personally, I wouldn't quite go out yet if you can only touch the ground when half slid off the seat. I know for sure that when I was still learning, there are many times when you come to a halt a bit off balance and need to hold the bike up a bit. Wouldn't want to see your new machine get scratched, so I'd wait until you get it sorted and you are comfortable. Good luck!

Tip toe on one foot with my bum off the seat is all i'm ever gonna get, you just need to get out and get used to it. You'd be suprised how after you pull up at a junction for maybe 3 times it then just becomes natural to slide off the seat to put your foot down.
Whatever you decide just get it done and start enjoying your bike. |

If you want to build up to a full blown ride out, there are plenty of places you can go which are near by for weekly meets (they normally start when the clocks go forward)
The few that spring to mind are every tuesday night at 6 hills up the A46 Basset Pole out Nuneaton way ish (Woozle will know when they are) Matlock Bath (bit further away bit fun roads) I tend to go to sixhills on a regular basis as I live In Melton only a few miles away. |

If your close to the floor but not quite, why dont you just get the seat shaved?
Would be the cheapest and easiest way without alering any of the suspention parts or the handling. |
