Bloody hell people... I read a couple of pages and people get as little as 80 miles on a tank!?
From the SV 150+ everytime for me, even if I thrashed it a bit, the new owner is in the same situation as well so its not just me. My Falco can easily give back 160+ miles and thats only got 1 more Litre in the tank and a lot more power's. Maybe people need to be smoother or somthing? ![]() |

I can get to 140 (curvy) before the light comes on but only when using high octane juice and riding sensible.
Oh and btw when the light first comes on its solid then after a while flashes when is the bike on reserve when its flashing or when it first comes on ?? |

I get 140 miles before the light and i'm 14 stone 6 ft 2 O.O that's using high octane but it's worth it for a couple more pence per litre. It's over twice as economical as my 1.8 litre Pug 306 auto :P

Weird this... maybe you should get a TL then
![]() I've ridden behind you and you don't rev the engine more then the average. Do what others have said before, check tyres, chain, ride smooth and plan ahead (and stop sliding the rear ![]() If that doesn't help, do the plugs after that I'd look at the TB. If it's any help, I was getting 120 miles (commuting through Aberdeen) and 160 on duals from a full tank on my curvy. |

My light comes on at about 110, when im giving it some, 85/90. I dont know how you lots are getting such high miles. I know the K3 dosent have the flashing light the other never bikes do, so could it just be down to when the light is set to come on?

150 - 160 miles till light starts flashing, record so far 220 miles with solid light (risky).
My mpg is working out between 57 an 61 mpg, this is not thrashing the bike tho, this is a 30 miles round commute to work every day... D ![]() |

![]() Its the bike honestly.. tyres only have ~500 miles on them, new chain >500 miles ago, new plugs oil and oil filter for ~300 miles.. I do hardly any miles on dual carriage way, its all country roads, A roads and B roads.. No town riding at all really.. Maybe thats the problem.. Arron's TL did get better economy than my SV on motorways, but thats when i had the throttle stop and airbox washers.. I dont feel I over rev and dizzy agrees, keep it between 4500 and 8000 usually, most of the journey is fast A road though, with constant overtaking and the lyk... |

Having said that, we weren't exactly slow last time we did the Slug road...
But still, when I was doing Aberdeen-Glasgow vis Glenshee that kind of riding gave me about 150 miles from a full tank. When is your next service due? |

Service?
Whats that? I just do some bits myself, and get a mechanic i know to do the rest, he works for my dad, so i dont have to pay ££££ ![]() Its never been good on fuel, even when i got it new and was just serviced for me.. Doing a average econmy test for 3 tanks of fuel, just waiting for my 3rd tank to finish ![]() |
