I just got back from Italy and you're lucky to see a decent pair of gloves in the use there!!! They are all mad in my opinion but hey, it's their skin if they fall off

I ride with all the gear on, and a base layer underneath (helps peel off the leathers after the ride.)

Also take a bottle or two of water with me, to help stave off the dehydration and assist in keeping my concentration working at it's best.

Yeah the other day was quite hot here... so i neglected to wear the jacket... helmet, gloves, and jeans were worn but the jacket was replaced with a sleeveless top...

I think you should wear whatever makes you feel more comfortable/safe ... completly up to the drivers discresion and of course whatever laws needs to be enfourced as well... just don't push you and your bike to the limits if your going to be riding without full gear...

That isn't going to help much if some person or other comes flying round the corner well over the speed limit and over your side of the road and either you crash taking avoiding action or worse still he/she hits you.

Point I'm trying to make is just because you are not fully kitted up so riding slower and more cautiously doesn't mean that you are not going to have an accident.

It could even make you more prone to an accident as your concentration levels to tend to dull whilst riding at low speed.

I'm not an advocate of jeans and t shirt, but concentration levels suffer when you are bordering on heat exhaustion too.The real answer is proper armoured run cool gear or fully vented leathers like Rossi and Co wear.If I was buying leathers now I would only buy fully vented and wear an over suit in colder weather.

Only time I'm on the bike without all my gear is to move it from the front to the back garden.

35 degrees is damn hot in leather, but riding the bike is worth it. I'd never go out without the kit, and can't understand why people do...
