He chooses to come across as a narrow minded tit. I would not judge a man based on the character style he makes a lot of money from

Here's another F1 vs. Bike comparison. I was surprised by this one very little in it until he sits up.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMSegwn7I7c Comparing laptimes never works out favourably for the bikes, though. Look at Brands Hatch indy, BTCC pieces of crap are only a couple of seconds off the British Superbikes, DTM just destroy the bike laptime with ease, 6 seconds+ on a 40 second lap. BTCC are only 2 or 3 seconds off BSB pace around Thruxton! (Superstock 1000s are slower than BTCC). |

depends how fat you are, i am in the larger catagory and my mate on his Sv is quicker than me on mine ( away from the lights anyway he sucks everywhere else)
when it came to his AMG v10 (5.4 litre) it took him an age to catch up but then flew past me |

I have had to work for a living on a few cars. Caterhams being the pain in the bottom for cross counrty stuff. Exotica, or modifed Jap motors can be a surprise. The challenge is, say to your mate, Race you form Gatwick to Luton through london at 8am on a normal work day. Then see how fast thier £100k modded Supra is ![]() |

As said ....... its not the speed that makes it fun (although it does!!lol)
Its the sensation along the way ... I find riding my SV is much more fun than any of the so-called fast cars I've had (225 TT, 3.2 Audi A3, Alfa 147, etc) ...... and the only car I've had that comes close to the 'joy' of riding a bike was my Lotus Elise (S2).. I'm still, and will always be a 'car' man ..... but, as far as cheap thrills ........ nothing beats a decent bike !! |

Go for it Al...
You can't compare speeds as they seem so different. I've got a 400BHP Supra (TT BPU) which is obviously masses faster than the SV, but I get lots more fun from taking the bike out for a 30 minute blast round the twisties. The Supe's brilliant and 0 to 100++ does bring a huge smile, but I just can't do it often enough. The SV makes me smile all the while. Plus: if it's thrills you are after, go round a bend at 10MPH over what you should do (not a recommendation you understand) and there's thrills a plenty ! Keep the car - get a SV as well ![]() G Quote:
