Not living there myself but I've 2 mates who are and they love it. Much eaiser to get into than the States, if you have a skill set that they need you are pretty much onto a winner. Been there on Hol's a couple of times are really enjoyed it, although you do get tired of people telling you they have an Aunt, Uncle, Cousin, Grandparent, Great Aunt, Great Great Uncle or or a friend of a friends personal dog trainers wifes sisters father has a 4 times removed pet bulldog living in England!

I was born there - have a Canadian passport.
Having said that, I left at a very young age. I went back there for a couple of weeks a few years back and thought it an excellent place. Everyone is very gullible, but there seemed to be a very good community spirit, even in places like Toronto. |

I was in downtown Toronto for 2 years, good place, easy to get around if you're near the underground system. They appear to have an inbuilt dislike for Americans, more so since U.S. travellers started putting Canadian flags on their backpacks so they wouldn't get blown up!!
Hot in summer, cold in winter but not really that bad. Good linking off road cycling / skating routes. If you're out in the suburbs or really out in the sticks you will need a car. Avoid Molsen and Labatt beer, stick to the smaller brewers and you won't go far wrong. |

Time to drag up an old thread
![]() Now I've already been looking at emmigrating and I'm on the Canadas Most Wanted list ![]() Question now is... why Canada over NZ? Thinking waaay ahead of myself I wouldn't like to be in such a large and cold country when oil hits $200. |
