Got this today should be a cheap and reliable bike when its finished
![]() Engine rattles like a bag of spanners but they say with Ducatis if it don't rattle its broken ![]() seems to run ok and for only being about 10hp up on my sv seems quite a bit faster ![]() ![]() ![]() |

At first glance that really appeals to me, like all the older Ducatis. But the more i look at it, the less i like it.
Still nice though. ![]() |

That looks really nice. Don't expect it to be a trouble free ownership though (Ask Lucky!)

Looks very cool, I like the old supersports. Hmm, same engine as mine......where do you live?
![]() As Jambo said, my Ducati-owning experience has been far from trouble free (about to sell the thing as I've had enough and spent a fortune), but when the bike has been working it's been awesome fun. Get some Silkolene Pro FST in the tank to get rid of the carb icing too ![]() |

![]() Keep an eye on the oil level, especially on motorway runs, and you'll have a blast on her ![]() Here are some pics of mine EDIT -> Also keep an eye on the rear sproket nuts as they like to come loose if they're not fitted properly ![]() Last edited by Davies; 05-01-08 at 07:55 PM. |

Does yours have sprocket bolts or studs and nuts? I once stopped to help a guy on a broken down 888 and it was a sprocket bolt that had unwound itself. Took a huge gouge out of the swingarm. I had tools in the van so I bolted it back in and offered to take him and the bike home, but he declined and said he'd be ok to ride where he had a Monster swingarm he could fit. I certainly wouldn't have ridden it with half of the swingarm thickness it had before.
