Default Anyone got Draper torque wrenches and are they ok for occasional use?

Want to get myself sorted with torque wrenches and was wondering if Draper are any good for occasional use.

Any experiences?

Having the same dilema at the moment.

Have pretty much decided that I am going to go Halfords Pro for the small wrench, due to better marking and adjustment.

Still not 100% sure on what to do for the occasional use "big" wrench - Draper seems fine for that, but I have bought and rebought tools in the past due to me going cheap, that I am thinking that for ?30's difference I might just go for Halford for that too.

But then as long as I will be doing most of my spannering @ Rictus's or Jambo's, I'll go cheap and just borrow theirs

I got a big torque wrench that I had for ages, but wanted something to do the smaller torque stuff, I got a draper one. I have NO confidence in its callibration ... so don't actaully use it ...

I've had a North Bar big T wrench for about 35 years. Anyone know where I can get it recalibrated, or at least get the calibation checked? I don't know anyone near here who's got a similar range one I can check it against.

We sell Draper stuff at work & none of the boys here will touch it, it's sh*!!!!

The Draper Expert stuff is Ok, as is their German spin off Elora, but standard Draper is pathetic, don't touch it with a barge-pole!!

I have two of the Halfords torque wrenches, the small and medium ones, and I have to say they are faultless. I have had them for many years now and they still look like new, and I use them at least once a week minimum!

That's one of the unwritten laws, isn't it... Whenever a company launches a 2-level range, it doesn't mean the high level is good, it means the low level is awful I used to have a Draper expert low-values wrench, it was nice but it randomly stopped working after a year or so. Teng Tools have some good value looking torque wrenches...
