top adjuster marked 'comp' is compression damping. This adjusts the amount of damping on the unit while being compressed.
bottom adjuster marked 'ten' is rebound damping. This adjusts the amount of damping on the unit while extending (normally rebounding after a bump) .
The two stepped collars are used to adjust the spring pre-load. These are used to put a static load on the spring to set the amount of load it takes to start the spring compressing. Use this to set the sag at the rear.

That shock looks brand new! - congrats on your purchase.

LP what did you do with the adjusters? Kwak stock or the middle of range or what?

Set to kwack stock, pre-load adjusted to give 35mm of rider sag. Was so much better that standard setup that I was well happy with that. The compression damping is what was noticed the most.

Never did enough miles with it fitted to get the feel for what twiddling the adjusters might do. Was just getting to the stage where I was thinking maybe a bit more rebound damping might help??? Whatever, with the zx10 shock and recetech fork springs / emulators the bike was better than I am so was very happy.
