Default clunky sound from new chain

i bought a set of renthal sprockets (standard size) and tsubaki x ring chain for my 04 sv650s. however the when i spin the back wheel the chain makes a clunking sound from around the front sprocket. i thought wheel alignment might be out but it keeps doing it when i alter alignment. i have also set it at 25- 30 mm of tension so it cant be too tight. however when i lift the bike onto its sidetand to take weight off swingarm and spin wheel it doesnt make cluncking noise.

can anyone help?

set the tension with the bike on its side stand, just to be sure. Is it properly lubed?

i have loosened the chain slightly. rode it for about 50 miles and when i got back and pushed the bike i couldnt here it. hopefully it is just the chain breaking in.

Keep it lubed up and double check that it isn't to slack every now and again.

Enjoy the ride...
