I've just tried to pump up a tyre on a loose wheel and can't inflate it! I always use the forecourt pump down the road without any problems.
Could it be that the particular valve on the tyre is incompatible with the pump? Or could the valve be shagged? Or please tell me I'm missing the obvious again. |

Try a different forecourt. If it persists than It could be the valve, or the seal around the rim, or a dented rim, or a punctured tyre.
I use a tyre pump that you plug into a cars cigarette lighter, although it is rigged to work off of a bike battery I have laying a round in the shed. Last edited by Dangerous Dave; 15-08-08 at 03:51 PM. Reason: Retarded Spelling |

Do you mean you have just fitted a new tyre and are trying to get the tyre on the bead??
Forecourt compressors are useless for that sort of thing. GO to your local tyre place, use a double barrel footpump or do the lighter fluid thing!! ![]() ![]() |
