Are thay as simple to fit to the sv as thay appear to be?

Have a look around dealers or on line shops, many has a lot of stock that they will sell on a little cheaper. As for the ease of fit they are quite straight forward and the instructions are very good, you may need to contact Scottoiler after purchase to get a T-piece the correct size for you bike (if they kit doesn't already contain one) so best to check before you start working.

New Scottoiler Mk7 boxes come with all you need to fit one to any model of SV. They aren't hard to fit, but take your time routing the pipework neatly and installing the delivery pipe at the sprocket end to get the best results.

They are well worth the money

Not being funny, but the one on my bike has been fitted to a Daytona 955i, 2 SV650s, a GSXR1000, a ZX9R and a Thunderace with no real modifications to it. There's nothing specific about a Scottoiler or its fitting kit, so you don't have to look for one from an SV only.

35 quid is about what I'd pay for one off ebay, but only if it was a Mark 7 with all the fittings

So are you able to buy any one and get the required fitment parts ?

Yes, but most of the time everything you need is in the kit especially with the later ones as they come with more.

Yep, Scotoiler do really comprehensive spares package, so if you do get one that missing stuff, you can order what you need quite cheaply of their website.

Turn round on order's is really fast as well.

Don't fit the feed pipe to the bottom of swinging arm if you use rear paddock stand WITHOUT hooks & bobbins - the more usual 'platform' type can flatten the pipe or move it.

If you fit the pipe to the top of the swingarm there's a good chance it'll get chewed by the chain at some point.

My advice is buy some bobbins and hook attachments, then fit the pipe where it should go,
