Your views Airbag Jacket + other nags

Hey all

I have 3 questions for First up Me and my friend have sv 650s both 2005 models.
Why is it his bike has a faster acceleration than mine. Mine is also backfiring like Ak47 in Iraq .

Also what is your view on motercycle airbag jackets something like this one

Last but not least my other friend is thinking about getting the Galdius.
Will he be welcomed on the site or is it a case wait untill a forum opens up.
I wonder how did this forum all begin.

Acceleration difference could be as simple as technique, ur yours may be restricted, but if its backfiring then something's not right.

Airbag jackets, yet to be convinced of their merits. Id be concerned that landing on that air cylinder would do more damage to my ribs than the bags would prevent elsewhere, also real issue of forgetting to unclip it and it inflating everytime you get off the bike to stretch your legs.

Gladuis, more than welcome, the only thing we dont like are hondas

Airbag jackets, ban them before they're made legal, like helmets were (I'm not saying that making helmets legal was a bad thing, but jackets? FFS?)

is your bike restricted? how many miles has it done has it had a good service recently also could be reaction times + technique

I've seen a video demonstrating the airbag jacket but it left me completely unconvinced, it simply showed someone coming off a bike at around 25mph onto tarmac. I might be wrong here but I'd have thought any decent motorbike jacket would have performed just as well at that speed, I came off my bike a similar way quite a bit faster and walked away from it with nothing more than a friction burn on my arm.

Ok, I'll bite - what's wrong with Hondas?
