Cant believe I've missed the fact that ar09 is in Essex. Never been on one before and hoping to make it if its still on. Anyone sv / trumpet gang coming?

NO for me regarding the ride out------simply because I have an aversion to riding in large groups
but probably pop down in the car for a social visit.

Is there a problem being in a big group other than a lack of space..i'll probably be at the back as I'm captain slow

I don't know yet, it's not that long after I get back from my hols, so I'll probably be skinter than a woolworths employee with three mortgages!

There is no real problem riding in large groups at all. Well, not an AR rideout anyway. 99% of the time youa re spread out riding in a small group, we dont all follow nose to tail. Its only if you catch up at light etc you may group together. As for speed, i think the average speed of the AR ride is about 30-40mph and is no way a race, or intended to be.

Pookie - it's at The Huntsman and Hounds in Althorne, which is on the way to Burnham. Don't worry about large crowds or riding in groups and being slow. the ridout is very well organised with markers at every junction and a dedicated tail end charlie to make sure no-one gets lost.

And any more helpers would be very welcome!

Actuall just thought, one thing I'm having a bit of trouble with is a large tent/awning/gazebo thingy to put up as a central lurking point, or even rain shelter (but it won't rain!!).
Anyone got one?
