Default 675 vs SV1000

Who'd win? On track similar riders and drag racing again similar riders?

675 at everything.

Higher top end plus it's designed to go round corners extremely well. The SV1000 is a bit of a heavier beast.

id say the sv1000 would have the iccle trump on a drag race because of the lack of gear changes, you can touch nearly the ton in 2nd on the big sv.

the 675 would out handle the big sv anywhere.

you can on the 675 too, and it's got a significant weight advantage

whether that'd outgun the SV1000's torque advantage i dunno

According to the spec 0-60mph the 675 is .6 of a second quicker - but hard to beleive that.

675 must have taller gearing, i did notice 1st and second felt tall then 3rd-6th felt very closely spaced

What... are you serious ? its on the rev limiter in 2nd at 60mph... My 750 does 78mph in first and something like 110mph in 2nd..

I reckon the 675 would have it in both scenarios, but drag racing isnt about out and out power / torque, its about getting a decent launch from a standing start... so if the 675 is harder to launch and the thou is easier to manage the power delivery on that might swing it the other way...
