Default Pointy earth location

Just wiring up the battery after stripping the bike, where does the earth end of the negative cable connect to on a pointy?

It seems to want to route somewhere down behind the rear shock, but i'm not sure whether it's the frame or the engine it bolts on to. Can't find it in the Haynes either.

Ta.

It earths to the engine casing not the frame. If you look at the bike from the right hand side, looking into the gap between the clutch casing and the swing arm pivot there are three of four bolts that join the main engine casings together almost near the centerline of the bike. The upper most one of these bolts should have the earth connection from the main wiring loom.

Cheers, that's the one I went for in the end as it looked the most likely candidate.
